The demand for tanning and removing unsightly hair from our bodies, has increased dramatically in the last decade. However the two don’t go hand in hand and it’s really important to know the risks you take when you've tanned and then get laser hair removal.

So what are our options when there is a demand for both beauty regimes?
1 - A patient needs to wait until their sun tan fades before planning a laser hair removal treatment. It is recommended that you wait 4 weeks before your next treatment to allow your skin colour to resume back to it’s original colour.
2- Don’t be fooled, even a fake tan can cause skin pigmentation when laser hair removal is performed on top of it, ensure you either wash off the fake tan or wait until it fades before having laser hair removal treatments.
